District Literacy Coach
Mr. Ryan Anderson is currently oversees instructional services and literacy at Nipisihkopahk Education Authority. He joined the district in December of 2013 and enjoys working with staff and students to facilitate growth and improvement in literacy district wide.
Mr. Anderson comes to the NEA after having been a teacher and administrator in the public school system in Alberta. He has taught a variety of grades and subjects over the last several years. During this time, he has also worked with Alberta Education in the areas of English Language Arts 9 and Social Studies 9 of the Provincial Achievement Testing Program.
As a lifelong learner, Mr. Anderson has completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Secondary Education from the University of Alberta. He developed a love for research while completing his master's program, and has brought those skills to fruition by working on school and district level projects in his previous school jurisdictions. Mr. Anderson takes a collaborative and evidenced-based approach to working with teachers and students in the areas of instruction and literacy.
